About

Non solum aliis… sed etiam tibi.

Janie McCraw’s journey into the world of criminal profiling and crime prevention is rooted in both professional experience and personal tragedy.

Beginning her career in emergency response as an EMT, Janie went on to become a registered nurse in 2004. Her path eventually led her into the prison system, where she spent over three years working directly with inmates. During that time, she gained a rare, firsthand understanding of criminal behavior—seeing beyond headlines and into the psychological realities of those behind bars.

Her expertise was further shaped through training under renowned criminal profiler and true crime writer Phil Chalmers, who brings over 40 years of experience and has interviewed hundreds of killers. Inspired by his work and legacy, Janie now continues that mission—educating audiences and exposing the truth behind modern criminal behavior.

But Janie’s story is not just professional—it is deeply personal.

On May 18, 2015, her 4.5-month-old grandson, Bentley, was tragically killed by his father in a violent act of abuse. In an instant, Janie and her family became the very people she now speaks about—the ones who never believed something like this could happen to them.

That experience became the driving force behind her work today.

Through her live presentations, Janie challenges audiences to rethink what they believe about crime, safety, and human behavior. Her mission is simple but powerful:

| Crime doesn’t just happen to “other people”… it can happen to you.
